Popular Post georgegeorgia
I can't help to think as I'm going towards 60 how much I changed over the years . I remember being a needy type person and that's one of the reasons I went to Thailand so many times a year so I could pay for love & companionship. Fast forward 25 years and I seem to be changing and I don't know if that's good or bad . Here is an example...I'm back in Australia and received a Facebook message from a old girlfriend in Thailand she would be 44yo now . We went out together for over 12 years whilst visiting Thailand... unfortunately she ripped me off financially a few years ago so I never bothered with her again. However she contacted me again..and even though I was deeply in love with her at that time I no longer felt anything for her ...strange how I changed ...we got into this FB live video and to see her now at her 44 when she looks 54 I decided just to be open and say to her ..sorry it's been too long make this the last time to talk . I don't know if it's the isolation that I have become used to with covid ( living by myself) or changing with age / time . But my attitude to people and life have changed . I no longer care what other people think ...if I want to walk holding hands with a ladyboy I will...before I didn't . I no longer care or concerned about people doing things others consider not right .. It's hard to explain..but I have turned non judgmental? Or as I age I just go on the person not who they are ... I don't care if someone doesn't say hello etc ..if they want to they can and I'm polite back but I no longer go chasing friends like I used to. My views on my eventual retirement to Thailand have changed too. I was going to Pattaya but now I'm leaning towards Udon Thani and just living by myself in a semi rural area . I don't know if all this has become about because of getting older or living by myself during covid and been isolated for weeks by myself has made me into a less caring person who doesn't care about small stuff anymore or things that don't affect me. I don't care anymore about guys holding hands with each other in Thailand or even anywhere else..great I say ... I used to be one of those guys always putting others down now I think it's great people are different and do what U want if it's not affecting others . If U like lady boys then go out and enjoy it . Popular Post OneMoreFarang
I guess this is the answer for many of us: When I was young I thought I am invincible. Full throttle on the bike. Pedal to metal in the car, any car. And party as much as possible. Then there was the time in Thailand when any day without at least one girl was time wasted. Let's go for it. And maybe another one. And now? Lets go out and party? Not so often anymore. Have a girl in every bar. No, not anymore. I still enjoy to go out from time to time. But it's all more relaxed. If I see a girl according to my taste, fine. Let's buy her a drink and let's see from there. And if not. No problem. And similarly for riding a bike. I do it and I like it. But I don't mind if I am not the first guy who speeds away from that red light. And if others want to risk their lives to be just a little faster, let them do it. Relax. Now life is more relaxed and it costs less because all those impulsive "I want that now" demands are not so strong anymore. I like that. 26 minutes ago, georgegeorgia said: I no longer care or concerned about people doing things others consider not right .. I don't care anymore about those people since a long time. Popular Post ThailandRyan
When I first arrived I went from being a serious man to just a kid in the candy store. That soon changed and I became a Hansum Man, and after awhile I became a cautiously optimistic man. After that all caution went out the window and I became an insane man. One day sanity returned and I became a creatively cautious old gentleman who now lives life as I want to and do not care what others think. Live each day to it's fullest as you never know what tomorrow may bring is my current Motto.

I'm nearly 60 and still see immature guys in Pattaya my age .. probably tourists sitting at bars on the window ledge shouting out to guys going past with girls & ladyboys etc In Australia I had to deal with a workmate yesterday 65yo who did nothing but complain about teenagers riding skateboarrds outside our building....I told him I think it's great and I may even go join them.! Second thing is I no longer tell work colleagues particularly women that I go to Thailand for holidays because they want to get the wrong idea not that I care anymore ...
Popular Post jvs
They say, youth is wasted on the young. Is it really? I think i would have liked myself a lot sooner if i would have slowed down sooner. Now i am pretty well at peace with most things, what ever happens, happens.

Popular Post swissie
No, we are not changing. Our testostrone-level is changing for the worse. We had a gyroscope in our underwear that guided us reliably to Thailand for decades in our younger years. (none of us came for the temples). And now , some "Investor-Farangs" realize that the younger-Thai-spouse is aging even faster than themselves. The Farang, realising that their testosterone-turbo is heading for "retirement", him wondering: "What am I doing here anymore"? Well, there are always the temples. Better late than never.

When that happens I do change, well at least I need to change my shorts afterwards, is that change enough? Or just TMI? As long as your "gyroscope" points you in the direction of "fillies" you are fine. When yor "gyroscope" starts to point you in the direction of "where is the nearest Starbucks", you will know that your "gyroscope" will need "re-calibration". May the day be far in the future, concering the orientation of your personal "gyroscope".

Absolutely. Look for the nearest Swenson's. They have often pretty girls with pigtails working there. And the ice-cream is also not bad.
Popular Post georgegeorgia
I guess too as I get older I give people less chances ..both in Thailand and Australia and that includes everyone. Recently the 44yo Thai lady I knew for 20 years messaged me on Facebook again. Sorry she <deleted>ted on me back in 2014 when I tried to bring her to Australia ..I bought tickets and visa then she went off with another guy and decided to contact me again 6 years later almost as if to resume the conversation from where it left off. Now I have less tolerance ...I try to do the right thing by people and now if someone <deleted>s on me ...one chance only I had what I thought was a good friend borrow money from me ...despite asking several times he never paid it but still calls me to tell me about his marital problems...I stopped answering his calls . I don't have time for one way friendship and no tolerance for giving people chances and that goes for thais as well. One thing is now I don't care if someone is gay ...farang ...Thai .a cleaner ...a lawyer ...or whatever I will treat them with respect..but once they try to use me or Sh..t on me then that's it Edited March 1, 2021 by georgegeorgia 2
Popular Post AlexRich
An interesting post. I guess I’m much more relaxed about everything. I spend as much time as I can doing things that I enjoy, even if that’s something as simple as sitting in a cafe with a decent coffee reading from my iPad and watching the world go by. So I live and let live and enjoy today, because tomorrow is not promised.

IMO that's nothing to do with "changing" at all. Your opinion of her changed, but unless you stopped being interested in other women you are still the same person IMO. I did stop being interested in western women in a romantic way after being burnt badly by a western woman, but I never stopped liking women per se. I don't think I changed at all, but I learned a whole lot more than I knew when I was 20, so I would act differently now to then, based on experience.
