But now something else entirely comes out of the south of Thailand. Two five year old twins got married in the village of Krung Yan, Thung Yai in the province of Nakhon Sri Thammarat. Daily News reported that the wedding had all the trappings of a real event including the "hae khan maak" (wedding procession) and plenty of raucous music. Tying the knot were Wirasak and Rewadee's children B and Bream, aged five. The children looked a bit bemused in their white outfits but everyone had a great time. Some Thais believe that twins come with some baggage of bad karma. To assuage any possible bad luck it is a good idea to marry them off. There was a similar article a few years ago of same situation a brother and sister ( twins ) marrying who were also around the same age.
