Popular Post rooster59
Pattaya: Traffic chaos after evening downpour - but everything is soon back to normal Images: Manager Manager reported that there was traffic chaos in Pattaya yesterday evening after heavy rain that started around 5.30 pm inundated many roads. Particularly affected were Sukhumvit with tailbacks of one kilometer, Khao Talo and the railway road. In some places there was flooding to a depth of 50 cms. However, there was some good news for Pattaya's long suffering denizens. Manager said that the floods receded and everything was back to normal within an hour of the cessation of the rain. -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2021-03-13 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates

Before the mega-flood of 2012 we used to be able to call the bike-taxi guys and get them to go to the market etc. Handy if you're housebound or lazy. About a week into the flooding (marooned in the 10th floor condo) Madam got a call from the bike guys "we're back in business, call if you need anything". Call and they arrived in a long-tail rather than a bike, same service, same price. 2

Pilotman
and what, whoever did the report,. would have happened if the rain had kept on coming. What a stupid and meaningless report. They have solved nothing in that City, after years of trying and millions upon millions spent.

Popular Post Golden Triangle
Dunno if it rained in town this afternoon but the heavens opened yet again out here on the Darkside, mind you the lake needs filling up, according to his majesty the mayor in yesterday's Pattaya Mail told us that 5 reservoirs were gonna be made bigger and deeper, why they didn't start the process when Mabprachan was nearly empty is beyond me. ????
