Sri Racha: Latest arrest of female call center gang member after ATM data con

Thailand's commando police presented two arrest warrants for fraud, embezzlement and falsly representing state officials to a 37 year old Thai woman.

Pornphana or "Tong" was arrested by the side of the road in Sukhphiban 8, Moo 1, SriRacha, Chonburi. 

As part of a four person gang she is charged that in 2018 she contacted victims to say they were being investigated for bad debts to banks in loans.

Others in the gang later posed as police to obtain ATM details and steal money from accounts.

Tong reportedly admitted the charges, said Daily News, and was taken to Samrong Neua police station on the outskirts of Bangkok.

The warrants came from Samut Prakan and related to activity of the gang in Prachuab Khirikhan. 

Two others were arrested earlier in connection with the case.
