According to Bangkokpost which I am not allowed to link, the Thai monk who died hours after taking the vaccine took Astrazeneca.

I am sure The Guardian is considered reliable source.

There are reports of blood clot in Australia

Seven UK deaths reported after taking Astrazeneca.

https://www.theguardian.com/society/2021/apr/02/covid-further-rare-blood-clot-cases-found-in-oxford-astrazeneca-recipients

I think it's best to admit that there will be a small number of serious adverse effects per million of people vaccinated, just as there is when crossing the road, riding a bike, and even eating fish, etc.

Along with the Pfizer vaccine, the AZ jab has produced spectacular results in the UK.

This is what the average Joe seems to say:

I said from the start why are they wasting the vaccine on people already on their death bed. Get the economy up and running first.

Maybe some day you will be old and pondering your death bed when another coronavirus kicks off.

at this point in time, nobody knows which one is safer as they all, one way or another, appear to have some issues, my sister (70) was injected with the AZ had reaction to it (vomiting, body and head aches, fever) she's waiting for the 2nd shot but she doesn't want AZ, let's see what the Frenchies propose

I was diagnosed as a high risk stroke victim in 2008, can happen at any time and you have to learn to live with it. There are probably thousand around the world in the same position as I was in 2008, undiagnosed.

The doctor wanted me to take warfarin but I declined, said I would take my chances, I had seen what that did to my brother. Fortunately in 2013 other drugs came on the market and a bit later I started on Apixaban, reduces the risk, doesn't take it away.

I would have no hesitation whatsoever in taking any of the vaccines, why on earth would I get stressed and risk a stroke.

As far as your article is concerned, I would doubt very much that vaccine would have caused thrombocytopenia and that the platlets had started sticking together in the timeframe suggested, normally days rather than hours. It is more likely the clots, if in fact that was the case, that caused the stroke were already in the body, either from an already low platlet count or some other condition like atrial fibrillation. Strokes can also be caused by burst blood vessel.

Some good info on the subject. https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-021-00940-0
