Thailand has one of the worst per capita death tolls in the world - maybe 24,000 to 26,000 per annum -  and 70-80% of that is from motorcyclists, notes Thaivisa.

But Thailand's death toll per vehicle is only 93rd in the world. To give an example, South African drivers are more than twice as likely to die as Thai drivers - they have 133 deaths per 100,000 vehicles compared to Thailand's 60 deaths per 100,000 vehicles.

What ? Very young people who are killed every day ? By the dozen ? In stupid and highly preventable roads accidents ?

Nah.

Covid-19 is a much more pressing issue.

Old and sick people are more important. It's obvious.

That's the sign of a healthy society, a healthy country, rooted in common sense, history and culture.

Yeah. Let's sacrifice our young people... They don't count. They are dispensable...

But 20 to 30 dead "of" Covid per day, for our country of nearly 70 millions souls, that's the real issue. That's all what matters.

This idiotic belief in karma has a lot to answer for, they think no matter how reckless they behave they will only die when it's their time to. Driving about drunk, speeding and looking at your phone has nothing to do with it ????

Unless of course they are close relatives or friends . ALL lives are worth the same.

the reoccurring problem is that most doesnt understand the right of way. you do not have the right to cut someone off in his lane, period. no excuses of 'proceeding with caution' can make it right to get into someone elses lane,

you have to wait until its clear, capich ?
