Channel 5 presenter Thananya or Tenggwa and representatives of victims went to the Crime Suppression Division yesterday to say they had fallen victims to the craze of surf skate boards.

They claim that a man advertising on Facebook called Tossawat, 21, took their money as deposits and full payment for high end pre-order boards.

Leading ten of the victims was Naphatthanon Tangwuthiplakorn who said that she went on Facebook on a page called "Surf and Skate Market Thailand".

The man there said he was able to source quality boards ranging in price from 9,000 to 35,000 baht. The only catch was that you had to pay 30% deposit.

He also said that if you paid in full you'd get 1,000 baht off. That's what she did.

After making excuses and not sending the goods the victims decided they had been defrauded.

Daily News said there were 122 victims in the sum of 2.7 million baht.

Presented Tenggwa said it all looked legitimate and believable from a seller who showed their Thai ID and who had businesses selling other goods.

The CSD took the case and promised to investigate.
