Similar disasters happen in the USA, California, Portugal, Spain and many other places and with a variety of causes which include the timber mafia to terrorist arson from carelessness to mischief. Thailand is not alone regarding this sad calamity.

The north of Thailand suffers from abysmal air quality for months on end, every single year. It’s nowhere near as bad as that in the USA, California, Portugal and Spain.
