I put 100 baht credit in the phone., the phone is usable for all purposes, and the prior balance is available. If I were more paranoid, I could interpret the response ... being escorted over to nearby phone-seller kiosks where I could buy a new 3/4g phone ... as a scam. hypothesis: the phone' is not 2g: if so, does that make the rep's certainty it was 2g and had to be replaced ... suspicious.
