The Chiang Mai provincial communicable disease committee has decided to close two pubs in Muang district for 14 days, after it was discovered that a COVID-19 infected woman visited both places.

Two new COVID-19 cases were recorded in Chiang Mai today, raising total infections to 6, all of whom are being treated in hospitals.

Dr. Chatuchai Maneerat, the provincial health chief, said that one of the two new cases had visited pubs in Bangkok and Nonthaburi before returning to Chiang Mai and the other, a 24-year old Thai woman who lives in the US and is currently visiting her family in Phayao province, visited the both pubs in Chiang Mai, the Warmup Café and Ground, several times between March 27th and April 3rd.
