Hiroshi Chamoto, 50, died after suffering fatal head and torso injuries in a motorbike accident on a small road at the entrance to Moo Baan Suan Chor Phon at about 5:15pm yesterday (Apr 12), reported the Phuket office of the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM-Phuket). Mr Chamoto was driving too fast and fell by himself, He was not wearing a helmet at the time, said the report for yesterday, Day 3 of the campaign. The first of these was close to the area where the road collapsed on the hills between Chalong and Kata. There are a whole load of loose stones on the road there after they did some work a couple of days ago and my immediate thought when I drove past the lady lying on the floor was that this was probably a contributing factor in the accident.
