webfact
Picture: Sophon Cable TV District officials and officers from Banglamung police station have inspected restaurants in the area to ensure they are not serving alcohol to customers. Earlier this week, teams of officers inspected restaurants throughout Pattaya to make sure they are following the latest COVID-19 restrictions, Sophon reported. Under the current restrictions, restaurants are not allowed to serve alcohol to dine customers or to customers who buy food to takeaway. Anyone caught breaching the restrictions faces the prospect of hefty fines and even jail time, officials have warned. Meanwhile, police urged local residents to report any restaurants they know are serving alcohol by calling 1337. Police added they intend to inspect venues daily to ensure alcohol is not being sold and adequate social distancing measures are in place. -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2021-04-22 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates 5
