Two more COVID-19 patients passed away today; Cambodia’s death toll now 56

The Ministry of Health has announced this evening that two more COVID-19 patients, both Cambodians, have succumbed to the deadly disease.

 

The first victim is a 54-year-old Cambodian woman who lived in Phnom Penh’s Meanchey district. She was admitted to Khmer-Soviet Friendship hospital on April 12, but her condition deteriorated day by day. Despite the doctors’ attempt to save her life, the patient succumbed to the virus at 00:45 am today.

 

As of the time of posting, COVID-19 has claimed 56 lives in Cambodia.
