Shine on you crazy diamond performed by Pink Floyd- one of the greatest groups to grace the planet. Remember when you were young, you shone like the sunShine on you crazy diamondNow there's a look in your eyes, like black holes in the skyShine on you crazy diamondYou were caught on the crossfire of childhood and stardomBlown on the steel breeze Come on you target for faraway laughterCome on you stranger, you legend, you martyr, and shine You reached for the secret too soon, you cried for the moonShine on you crazy diamondThreatened by shadows at night, and exposed in the lightShine on you crazy diamondWell you wore out your welcome with random precisionRode on the steel breeze Come on you raver, you seer of visionsCome on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine You probably know the story that it is about former band member Syd Barrett and, after not seeing him for some time, he happened to walk in to the studio, eyebrows shaved, when they recorded this song. If not .. now you do.
canthai55
People, don't you understand The child needs a helping hand Or he'll grow to be an angry young man some day Take a look at you and me Are we too blind to see? canthai55
I see a woman in the night With a baby in her hand There's an old street light Near a garbage can And now she put the kid away and she's gone to get a hit She hates her life and what she's done to it There's one more kid that'll never go to school Never get to fall in love, never get to be cool 1

thaibeachlovers
Speaking of songs for the end of a relationship It's too late, by Carole King Stayed in bed all mornin' just to pass the time There's somethin' wrong here, there can be no denyin' One of us is changin', or maybe we've just stopped tryin' And it's too late, baby, now it's too late Though we really did try to make it Somethin' inside has died And I can't hide and I just can't fake it Oh, no, no, no, no, no (No, no, no, no) It used to be so easy, livin' here with you You were light and breezy, and I knew just what to do Now you look so unhappy and I feel like a fool And it's too late, baby, now it's too late Though we really did try to make it (we can't make it) Somethin' inside has died And I can't hide and I just can't fake it Oh, no, no There'll be good times again for me and you But we just can't stay together,… The great love of my life sang that to me just before she left for good. The song probably said it better than she ever could have.

canthai55
I'm the cop in a little bitty town, and I don't get much pay. But I've caught 17 out-of-state cars, and 4 of my friends today. Well, I let the home-town boys go home, they paid $5.00 bail. But all of them tourists in the out-of-state cars, had to go to jail.

Andrew Dwyer
1 hour ago, Andrew Dwyer said: Angus, Malcolm and Bon I’m guessing you are not a fan of the genre TBL ? or you would have picked it up from the first two lines. Thinking , as posted earlier, that some songs are not easily recognised from the lyrics alone I posted, albeit a little cryptically, the songwriters first names which should have brought it home if you had any interest in this type of music , no disrespect intended !! Highway to Hell - AC/DC On that note, although i do know the song posted on the 2nd post if the words “ From a distance “ were removed from the lyrics I would have had no idea. I was born in ‘61 and my coming of age , music wise, included such classics as “ My Coo Ca Choo” , “ Ballroom Blitz” and “ Mama we’re all crazee now” etc , etc. Elton and Bowie , among others, brought some sensible lyrics to the era but there was some absolute dross passed off as music making the charts, and making a boatload of money also. In the background, i.e. not making Top of the Pops or released as a single was some spectacular music of all genres, this from an album that has stood the test of time. Peering out of tiny eyes The grubby hands that gripped the rail Wiped the window clean of frost As the morning air laid on the latch A whistle awakened someone there Next door to the nursery, just down the hall A strange new sound you never heard before A strange new sound that makes boys explore Tread neat so small those little feet Amid the morning his small heart beats So much excitement yesterday That must be rewarded, must be displayed Large hands lift him through the air Excited eyes contain him there The eyes of those he loves and knows But what's this extra bed just here His puzzled head tipped to one side Amazement swims in those bright green eyes Glancing down upon this thing That make strange sounds, strange sounds that sing In those silent happy seconds That surround the sound of this event A parent smile is made in moments They have made for you a friend And all you ever learned from them Until you grew much older Did not compare with when they said This is your brand new brother This is your brand new brother This is your brand new brother The Greatest Discovery E.John/B.Taupin
