A good direction but will need many more days of declining numbers to confirm any trend...but I'll take it as good news to start the week.

Of course. What we have here is tge second of the weekend numbers. Let's see where the trend line goes starting tomorrow. Fingers crossed and let's hope the deaths trend downward.

The numbers are always what was recorded on the previous day.

The time that they are reported the following day has no bearing on them what so ever.

Have you not taken into consideration that some provinces may well be late in reporting on the day and therefore report the following morning?

Per Richard Barrow:

"Starting today, Surat Thani (which includes Koh Samui, Koh Phangnan and Koh Tao) have started to shut down businesses similar to Bangkok. If you come from the red zone you must do quarantine. You must wear a mask. And you are asked to stay home from 10pm-4am"

very quick today with the numbers... Normally they announce it after 11 o'clock. Something fishy again. Yesterday Sunday, less testing and quickly announce to prevent problems???

Richard Barrow usually releases it early like this. Check his FB page.

These are not Monday's cases , just Sunday's reported on Monday, unless that is the government think they can predict the future

That goes without saying...These are cases over the last 24 hours but may include testing done eariler if there is a backlog.

My tweet to Barrow:

The usual reporting of daily covid-19 cases has always been approx 11:30. Do you know why the reporting for the last few mornings have been much earlier than usual, i.e. approx 09:15?

Response from Barrow:

Replying to

It was leaked. Press conference still at 11:30am

The quote from the article was "Monday’s cases" which is simply not true, the point I was clarifying. It should have stated Sunday's cases reported Monday to be correct rather than misleading as usual.

Weekend factor.

True numbers will resume in a few days...

Couldn't agree more. Only weekly figures provide solid consistent evidence, worldwide. Therefore they should be the lowest granularity used for publication.

Otherwise the province colouring would remain interesting, based on numbers AND doctors assessments. The list of hot (searing) zones within provinces would be extremely useful too.
