And AZ has only 63% protection and is less effective even with the new variants, UK included. Also they only will start in June so prity sure foreigners will be maybe August-Seprember For me if Pfizer, Moderna which are both over 90% or even J&J over 70% and that one already proven that UK variant works then I'll just go and pay for any of these Acc to WHO AZ protection is 82%. J&J is less than 70%. No vaccine of any sort is 100%. You can get hepatitis despite vaccination. People suffer infections after 2 Pfizer or Moderna jabs. Just google it. The correct LINE account is "Mor Prom" There has been many posts that state that the registration starts on 1st June. This is incorrect, the registrations start on 1st May with the injections starting in June. AstraZeneca is the vaccine that is listed for over 50's and the Thai version is due to be released in June. Sinavac is for use for under 50's A shipment of Pfizer has been purchased but it has not arrived yet with a further shipment to follow. The vaccine is FREE to all people that LIVE in Thailand, I am not sure about those on Tourist Visa's. There is no Line account appearing as Mor Prom in a search on the Line app

Russell17au
I have searched: LINE, Google, Google Play Store for the Dr Ready (Mor Prom) app this morning 1st May when the government claimed it would be ready for the vaccine registration and there is no sign of it anywhere yet 1
brommers
I will not be told that I have no choice of what vaccine I am given, so will not be registering on sny government app or website. There is not one Chinese vaccine that has published stage 3 trial results or has been approved by the WHO as safe and effective. Even Chinese specialists have said their product is inferior, but I guess thay are now having the attitudes adjusted! The Thai authorities are using the population as an experimental playground and anyone who takes part is foolish in the extreme. Only when a fully approved vaccine is available will I participate and I will do so at my own expense. 1

Not suspicious at all that it followed a meeting... People cannot choose which Covid-19 vaccine they receive, says Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul amid mounting concern over side-effects of shots being administered in the country. The minister gave an interview to the press after meeting representatives of Sinopharm, a Chinese Covid-19 vaccine producer, on Friday. It’s pretty obvious that Sinovac will be for the plebeians, and AZ for the patricians. Maybe they will buy some North Korean concoction for the Farangs. The main vaccine used for over 60's is AstraZenica and the Thai production of that will be ready in June when those that are over 60 who have registered will start to get vaccinated.

So, you think this of all pronouncements by the government is the final word? Remember that they earlier claimed that vaccinations were only valid for 90 days. As clinical evidence is made available, decisions change, especially if the decision makes it easier for the officials. In this case, clinical studies are showing that Sinovac is safe for the elderly, so expect this decision to change - especially given the cheap price and abundance of Sinovac compared to AZ.
