Popular Post ripstanley
Today I renewed my retirement extension. I used income method. I transfer money from Australia. I arrived at 0900 and out the door at 1010 with a new stamp for the year. There were a copy of photocopying problems but the staff fixed these problems. Well done to the staff. They were great.

Antonymous
Lucky you. One of the advantages of living in the country. Not so many people on retirement extensions in Phayao I'd guess. That might explain the different service you had from that usually given in Chiang Mai Imm, for example.
sceadugenga
That's a great time Rip, glad to see they helped with the photocopies, the CR mob usually send you off to the Transport Dept next door to get any you missed.
Randell
I can remember in the very late 80's and early 90's in Phuket. The photocopy concession was always run by immigrations wives just like the water and any snacks. Immigration was also who you paid to send your passport to the border for and extension stamp with the menu sign of fees well post on the main wall. They did VERY WELL.. But it was efficient and a major time saver and worth the price. Although you did have to put up with the God like attitude.
Rotweiler
Chiang Rai Immigration (Mae Sai Main Office) took a lot of time doing my annual extension as well. We arrived at 10:40 and we out of the door and back shopping at 11:03. I kept saying "they will want us to stay until the afternoon". No such luck. The wife was shopping at 11:10. Sigh.
