Police seize 31 million baht in assets from major Thai drug  syndicate

A total of 170 officers from the Office of the Narcotics Control Board in cooperation with police in Rayong and Chanthaburi searched twenty targets yesterday in action against the Bua Jan Khao-In drugs gang.

 

ONCB secretary Wichai Chaimongkhol said that all Covid-19 protocols were followed and 31,098,768 baht's worth of assets were seized, reported Daily News.

 

This was comprised of just over 8.5 million baht in cash, 17 bank accounts containing 9.8 million baht, a 2.7 million baht Mercedes Benz, and a house and land worth 10 million baht.

Wichai said that since October 3,444,900,191 baht in drug assets had been seized which was 57.41% of the total.

 

So far 159 million baht's worth of assets have been auctioned off publicly.

If you read the same article in the Bangkok post, it is explained that the drugs leader was arrested in November last year
