The government is urging families to protect elderly members of their households from the risk of infection while others family members probably travel working in areas where Covid-19 outbreaks are prevalent.

Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) assistant spokeswoman Dr Apisamai Srirangson said many infections in families had been brought home from workplaces or spread at gatherings and households are no longer safe.

She said the elderies and bed-bound patients should be separated from family members who travel into areas where there is a risk of infection, or avoid doing the activity together.

Dr Apisamai added that since the implementation of stricter control measures including the work-from-home policy and shutting down night entertainment venues after Songkran holiday, the overall situation has now begun to improve. Bed shortages are easing now, with patients only having to wait one or two days, on average, to be admitted for treatment.

I have a few Thai friends that help older Thai people  with the forms to be filled out for the vaccine. As there are so many questions I think many may die of old age before it gets done. It's only a vaccine, it should be easy.

It is good advice & the Gov't should have thought to stop the millions of folks travelling home for Songkran.

Again, a little too late, but yes, if you are going to work & then reurning to the family home, extra precautions should be taken.

Many Thais will observe this but only needs 15% gung ho's to ruin this
