Question for anyone who has recently traveled to USA (ideally JFK) from BKK

Hi. I'm researching options to fly to the USA in July. The CDC website currently indicates that a negative COVID-19 test is required within 3 days before arrival, and that a 7-day home quarantine is required after arrival.

 

My question is:

 

1) If I'm flying internationally into JFK but continuing on to another city domestically, do I have to quarantine first in NYC or can I travel on to my final destination and quarantine there?
