These people should never be allowed to enter foreign countries. They are a danger to society.
More background checks are needed. Thai immigration should require foreigners to present  a criminal background check before allowing them to enter. It's time that they clamp down on this.,

I had to furnish a Federal Police report of any and all police reports and courts appearances. I had none but check had to be supplied

Yes, if you're  already mentally unstable, in which case you should stay at home where you have access to mental health support.
I know plenty of people that have been here for years and are very happy and never attempted to murder anyone.

The case was DROPPED.  How can you ban someone if they drop the charges?  So anyone with a case FILED against them should be banned from traveling?  he was convicted of physical assault.  not sure that means banned from traveling.

YES, in this case you are right....this POS is evil.  But you need to take it up with the DA in Colorado.

Thailand gets the worst falangs on the planet.........I've seen drug dealer falangs, sexpat falangs, pedo falangs, everything...

from all countries.

will all the drunk drivers, we should ban people busted for drinking and driving back home.

That part was dropped due to the non availability of the main witness.

When a country has the reputation of being involved in the old ancient art of gash for cash, it's always going to lure the miscreants of this world to its shores... otherwise I wouldn't be here.????

If I was trying to evade authorities I know exactly how I would dress.  Just like average citizens.  A little sunless-tanning cream and you'll blend right in.
Ta-Da!  Nothing out of the ordinary!

He was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after allegedly trying to have sex with his ex-girlfriend, who refused, and attacking her with a gun.

How come Thailand always manages to attract the absolute very best out of every country in the world?

At least this time it isn't Pattaya's good name that's getting sullied.

There's more US criminality and much more recent as well.

The driver, Jason Balzer (right), age 32, was arrested for 74 violations of a protection order, 2 felony counts of possession of an illegal weapon, and 2 counts possession of a dangerous weapon.

In this article covering the same arrest, it says he made bail and was released.

Just looking at him you can tell he is a bad egg. No need for background checks.

Another murder of a Thai woman due to rage. Last time I heard a foreigner threw his Thai wife out of the balcony.

I hope that this guy will be found soon and locked up in jail for the rest of his life.

The media published screenshots on a video from CCTV showing the man. They did not report his nationality and blurred his features.

So the police don't really want any help finding him then?

Maybe the police in Thailand finally accept that anyone is innocent until guilt is proven, and respect his right on privacy?

His facial feature is not common in Thailand, not many people have blue eyes.

If I do see him, I will report to police because i live in northern Thailand.

Is there a police number to call?

Always beware of the in - laws !

Why? Because they are a criminal's undoing, hey? It takes a certain type of personality and character for someone to resent the effort being made to find someone potentially in grave danger or even dead.

Interesting that the Town of Mead arrested him on Dec 30, 2020.

https://www.townofmead.org/police/page/mead-police-seize-79-firearms

That means he entered Thailand in 2021.  And must have gone through quarantine?

On one hand, the Town of Mead should have held his passport pending the trial.

On the other hand, he'll soon wish he had been thrown in a US prison.

Edit:  Obviously, that's assuming it was the same guy...

Has he? I didn't know cos I don't read every post.

I hope he is jailed for the rest of his life in Thailand. Thailand's jail is not as comfortable as in USA in fact, downright hellish.

But he was released after being found totally innocent on all charges.

Poor chap, first harassed by US police, now being harassed by Thai police.

There is no evidence to suggest he is guilty of anything.

They don't even know from whom the blood came.

It was not mentioned in this thread. I was informed by a Thai friend who said he was captured in Hang Dong area of CM.
