webfact
Picture: Daily News Thai media Daily News reported that pit bull dogs were roaming around Bang Saen beach resort in Chonburi. Like they owned the place, like they were street mafia! Last month in Pattaya a man was savaged to death by his pit bull or Ban Dog. That one found a new home in Nakhon Sawan. The latest case came to light in an appeal by the mayor of Saen Suk district (Bang Saen) on Facebook. Narongchai "Lek" Khunplome called for owners to leash their dogs and not let them wander about. Picture: Daily News He said he had received reports that some were pit bull terriers and people were scared. He called for people not to let their dogs out and to clean up after them to maintain public cleanliness. Daily News said that the post had some people online saying they would be scared to go to Bang Saen. Others demanded the authorities take action against irresponsible owners. -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2021-05-06 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates
jacko45k
I saw a couple attacking a soi dog on 2nd Rd once, near Tim's..... brutal, and frightening that these 2 dogs were apparently free to roam and obviously pets. Popular Post richard_smith237
Solution is simple: Remove ALL dogs which are not contained / restrained. Any Dogs which have a collar can be claimed and the owners fined for allowing them to roam the streets. Any Dogs without a collar are not owned and can be rehoused or destroyed. This is a very unpopular opinion. But, had these measures been carried out 20 years ago and maintained there would be far less suffering of animals roaming Thailands streets today, there would be far less risk for people, especially children. This is one of those situations were there is no ‘pleasing’ solution which makes everyone happy. But there is a solution and it is the best of a bunch of bad solutions for the long term. 13

Popular Post Scouse123
If you hit them hard in the pocket you will stop it stone dead. One thing these people understand and dislike intensely is losing money The problem is too many police find this too much like hard work and prefer the immediate fines from no helmets or minor traffic infringements. These animals when they get going do very serious damage and cannot be stopped easily. If they can award 20K fines for going mask-less, then they can certainly charge the same for allowing an unsupervised and uncontrolled lethal weapon to roam around. I would go even further and demand these beasts are muzzled in public places. 5

Popular Post digger70
Pit bulls wandering around Bang Saen like "street mafia" say Thai media When is the Gov'ment going to do something about Roaming Dogs/Soi dogs. Are that Vermin More imported than People? Ones those dogs are roaming around they are Worse than the normal Soi dog. Even if/when people get killed Like a little while ago they must be Killed . It's time for the Gov'ment to act, No Excuses ,Clean Up their Act and Cull All Roaming and Soi Dogs before they cause more Mayhem /accidents/Hurt/Kill People. I love Dogs ,Had hunting dogs back in Aus ,Have a dog now . I just don't like the People and their Soi dogs. many Soi dogs Do belong to people. They get them as a pup , they look after it for a few weeks and then it's on it's own . It turns into a Flea bitten Tick Riddled Mange infected Snarling Biting Soi Dog. 3

But, I dont agree with any dogs being allowed to freely roam the streets like that. And any dog that seriously injures someone need to be put down. If people own dogs they need to take responsibility for them and care for the properly. Sadly a minority of lazy or dumb dog owners and crazy dog fanatics give the rest of dog owners and dogs a bad name.

rcuthbert
There are only 3 dogs shown. I suspect that a sensitive owner of a poodle stepped in pit bull poop - then sought retribution. 1

DBath
Pit bulls require a very knowledgeable owner - one who knows how to handle this breed. Regardless, this type of dog should never be allowed to wander off-leash in public. They can be great pets, but they must be strictly controlled. Too often people take ownership of pit bulls without knowing what they’re getting into and the results can be tragic. 2
