Safety measures at the Embassy for Consular services

Recommended Posts

We are operating our notarial and documentary services as usual at the moment but you may find this information useful if you need to come to the Embassy:

  • We are open for notarial appointments on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  • Before attending an appointment please check any travel restrictions that might affect you, especially between provinces. If you are unable to attend an appointment, we will do our best to find another date for you.
  • You won't be allowed into AIA Sathorn Tower if you have a temperature of 37.5 or over.
  • Hand sanitizer is available at entry points to AIA Sathorn Tower, at our reception and at the consular waiting room.
  • You should wear a mask at all times.
  • We encourage social distancing whilst seated in the consular waiting room. We have lots of space and seating to enable this.
  • Our staff are separated from customers by screens, and each counter is separate also.
  • To save time spent at the Embassy, we also encourage payment in advance of your appointment.
  • To mitigate the risk of COVID-19 transmission via cash, we prefer card payments where possible.

Your credit card has probably been handled by fewer people and retains less bacteria than cash, so lower risk. It's also easier to clean.

With contactless payments, there is no need to touch the customer's card at all.

I have tried to see when it is possible to make an appointment. The Consular system does not show any availability of appointments.

Sorry to hear that. You may be looking at the old system, as at the time of writing we have free appointments coming up on 8th June, 17th June and 22nd June. These can be booked via these links Affirmation Of Marriage/Residency, Certified Copy Of Passport/Driving Licence. If you have any problems, you can also e-mail us at [email protected].

You input your own details into the tablet they give you, so they don't even touch your card.

Unfortunately, there is no slot on the tablet for cash.
