Nonthaburi closes commercial areas for up to 14 days to stem COVID-19 spread

Nonthaburi Municipal Market, one of the largest and busiest in the area, is ordered to close to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

 

Commercial areas in Bangkok’s neighboring province of Nonthaburi, which cover two major fresh markets, commercial buildings, shop houses and all forms of retail outlets, have been closed from today for 7-14 days, as the provincial administration steps up restrictions to control the continuing surge of COVID-19 infections.

Vaccination registration opens today for people with mental or developmental disorders in four provinces

Starting today (Tuesday), people who suffer from mental or developmental disorders, such as autism, Down Syndrome, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or learning disabilities and their family members who live in Bangkok and three other neighbouring provinces can register for COVID-19 inoculation online.

PHUKET:-- The Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) has announced that the electricity supply will be temporarily shut off in areas south of Patong on Friday (May 14) as work is carried out on installing new high-voltage cables.

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's cabinet on Tuesday approved 45 billion baht ($1.45 billion) of projects aimed at reviving the economy, the prime minister said, as the tourism-reliant country struggles with a third wave of coronavirus infections.

Medical experts call for increased active screening in Bangkok’s slums

The deans of Thailand’s three top medical colleges today (Tuesday) urged the authorities to speed up active screening of people in slum areas in Bangkok, to separate those infected with COVID-19 from others in their communities to slow the rate of transmission.

Bangkok’s Union Mall to be closed May 13-27 amid slow business
