dwagner Posted May 11, 2021 Share Posted May 11, 2021 No - when you arrived, you are directed to the line of seats - where they check your temperature, COE paperwork, etc. Once that is completed you go directly to a ASQ mini van. I wanted a SIM card - no go. I came in through Taipei and did my Duty Free stop there - escorted by an EVA Air person - who was nice and did not have an issue with my purchases. Most asq offer you 7/11 through the app. So if you can buy the simcard through the app I guess it's OK. I wouldn’t worry about that. You don’t need to tell him you’ve just returned. If he finds out and gets involved just show him the ASQ release letter (which you will receive when you leave ASQ) - it highlights that you have done 14 days quarantine. Exactly this.... Buy Duty Free at your departure Airport - nothing is open and there is no opportunity to buy ‘anything’ on arrival (not even to get cash - from what I saw). You can get the ASQ staff to get a SIM card for you from 7-11. You can register it online. Alternatively, have a friend get you a SIM card, get it registered etc and drop it off at your ASQ.
