webfact Posted May 11, 2021 Share Posted May 11, 2021 Photo from Facebook เทพไท เสนพงศ์ Thailand’s Appeals Court (Tuesday) upheld the verdict of the Nakhon Si Thammarat provincial court, in sentencing former Democrat MP Thepthai Senpong and his brother Manote to two years in prison without suspension and suspending their election rights for ten years, for election fraud. The brothers were found guilty last year of fraud in the election of the mayor of Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Administration Organization in 2014. Mr. Thepthai was stripped of his MP status by the Constitutional Court in January. Both have were released on bail, after each of them posted a 1.5 million baht bond. Bail was granted after the verdict of the constitutional court when they went in appeal. Now that the verdict is upheld by the appeal court, they will get there bonds back and go to jail for 2 years.
