Immigration continue to arrest illegal immigrants sneaking across Thailand's porous borders

Deputy at the Immigration Bureau Pol Maj-Gen Achayon Kraithong told INN that the IB continue to enact policies to keep Thailand's borders secure.

 

These have been stepped up in natural border areas between Thailand and its neighbors - Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia and Malaysia. 

 

In the period from 1st - 10th of May 295 illegals were caught.

In March the total was 1,314 and in April 1,369.

 

The issue has received greater attention recently due to the third wave of the pandemic that has hit Thailand in the last two months.
