What sort of medication is Anutin giving all these jokers, I want some!

He's out of his tree allowing Dirty Farang back into such a spotlessly clean Kingdom.

I stayed at a prominent hotel for my ASQ in December and I swear to god, I've never had worse food in my life. They even managed to screw up toast somehow

Most of my meals ended up just being white rice with prik nam pla to get me by

Cost me 85000 baht for that privilege

I stayed at Aloft negotiating a price just over half that and it was difficult to fault the food with plenty of choice too.

Unless everyone is vaccinated no country in its right mind isnt going to let their citizens visit Thailand and risk getting some variant and bring it back.  Who's going to trust these Thai politicians saying its "safe"?

So why vaccinated people are forced to go in quarantine now?

It's because Thai people are not vaccinated

and before enough number of Thai people will be vaccinated to avoid the risk of another outbreak, it could take dozens of months

Look at how small countries, with more money, a better organisation

and less population like Israel (10 milions vs 70 millions for Thailand)

have managed to vaccinate only 60% of their population in 1 year

and they have now problems to convince the 40% remaining to do it

So far there is 0 country in the world having reached the famous

herd immunity rate, nobody knows if the herd immunity is even

possible (With the new strains and the situation in Seychelles for example)

Yep. Thailand is shooting itself in the foot for sure. They do not understand how to attract Western tourists.
I'm supposed to leave TH and come back in Oct, but thinking I will have to cancel all plans.

Straya the greatest! How would world move without australian tourists?

He certainly has an overinflated opinion about the importance of Straya to the world.

Why would they come to a police state?

I actually wonder if you have ever been here. Day to day life here is much more free than Straya.

If they would just stop with all the dreaming, speculation and just concentrate on the virus itself and how to stop it everything will fall into place by itself why continue to work backwards?🤣  Just too much time dreaming wake up to the bad breathe.

I know, I know. But the only people who can afford to not take notice of the catastrophic drop in tourism are the wealthy Thais, the ones with a cushy job, or ex-pats with a cushy pension, and money in the bank. Tourism was a $100,000,000,000 industry here. Millions of jobs. Trillions of dollars invested in infrastructure. Trillions. Something has to be done. Someone needs to take action.

Many of us did not like the hordes of lower income tourists. Dozens of problems existed long before Covid. And it is likely they have not been addressed, on any level. Less tourism will be nice for alot of us. But, my heart goes out to the millions who made a living from the influx.

Im sorry, ur highness, but some peasants need to address few matters.

Isnt now the greatest time to be in Thailand? Zero tourists, private pool villas are dirt cheap to rent, zero chinese. Private dining, private entertainment. If u looking for maldives-ish type of holidays thailand now is a place to go.

And them asq dining fotos from BKK Pullman and Le Meridien are looking good good good.  U can even ASQ in a a private villa! Fool comfort!

Australia's borders are likely to remain closed until mid-2022 aside from travel to New Zealand (which opened last month) and a few other "low risk" countries. These could include Singapore, Fiji, New Caledonia, Vanuatu and possibly Taiwan and later, Vietnam. Thailand has not been mentioned in the first phase and thus we can probably assume it won't be part of any Australian travel bubble this year.

Secondly, in a country that is proving itself to be one of the most totalitarian in the world, what with Buri Ram forcing vaccines on it's residents, Phuket fining and threatening foreigners with deportation for hosting a friend over for a beer in their OWN homes, Surat Thani fining anyone who drinks alcohol at home, and every province issuing fines of 1000-20000 Baht for not wearing a face muzzle, what makes them think tourists will put up with this nonsense?

Even those willing to be vaccinated, are not going to put up with this. Isn't the vaccine supposed to allow all our freedoms to return? If tourists are still going to be required to be muzzled in public, including on a Phuket beach, despite being vaccinated, then Thailand can hammer the final nail in the tourism coffin.

At this point in time, there is more liberty in China than in Thailand. I can't imagine the Chinese would be interested in coming to a country where there are no casinos, where the fun police nitpick every thing you do and can potentially deport you for not wearing a face mask. It's happening in Cambodia (Chinese nationals have been deported for not wearing masks or breaking lockdown orders), Bali is doing it and Thailand isn't far behind.

China has tropical beaches too (in Hainan). Aside from Phuket being warm all year-round (whereas Sanya is a little cool between December and February), there is no reason for Chinese to want to come to Thailand.

Maybe in your view 'no reason for Chinese to want to come' yet nearly 11 million of them did in 2019.

Do people here really think there are no flights?  There are tons of international flights in and out of swampy everyday, right now.

Rubbish, here in Queensland, life is completely free with no restrictions such as you have in Tailand.

November, they can't even implement a plan for next week, already they are putting back vaccinations for people they said would get jabs.

The military Muppets can't strategies anything to do with health because they aren't qualified and won't listen to the science.

Power corrupts, absolute Czar power, corrupts absolutely.
