Popular Post webfact
Picture: Thai Rath Rot Rojanasathian, the chief of the Thai chamber of commerce and spa association was bigging up the "Hua Hin Recharge" post pandemic recovery operation yesterday. Among comments about improvements for the elderly population and those with pre-existing conditions to more easily access vaccinations he was also buoyant about the potential for foreign tourism. Herd immunity - with Hua Hin favored in the vaccine rollout after being named as one of the places for maximum vaccine rollout - would be achieved and the tourists will come, was his message. He anticipated that in the fourth quarter from October 1st to the end of the year there will be 100,000 foreign tourists coming to Hua Hin, reported Thai Rath. And they are big spenders, he claimed. They will add 1.2 billion baht to the local economy. The plan is to fly them into Suvarnabhumi airport in Bangkok then bus them directly from there to Hua Hin without dropping in anywhere else. There will also be private flights by three companies into Hua Hin airport after transport minister Saksayam Chidchob agreed to certain deregulations. -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2021-05-15 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates 1

TheFreqFlyer
Yeah sure, 100,000 idiots who want to spend time in an open air prison where everything's closed and walking around without a face muzzle is considered a revolutionary act. Why bother with this nonsense. In Australia, face masks generally aren't required anywhere, except airports and then only for those aged 12 and above. Ditto for New Zealand. In America, face mask rules are being relaxed...soon even in democratic states. Both Australia and the United States have tropical beaches...and casinos. Thailand doesn't have any casinos. Why exactly would one come to Thailand?

Aussies can currently visit New Zealand but that's it. Chinese can go to Macau (and Hong Kong in some limited circumstances) but nowhere else.

You can't get one night in a nice room in some of the fancier hotels for that. The forced hospitalisation policy is what will prevent people from coming to Thailand.
