and plenty more after it. What about the Chinese virus already in Bangkok, caused by government officials in the night clubs? There should have been a lockdown then, but the unelected "PM" did not want to upset his rich pals who were banking on the long holidays filling their pockets with all these  people traveling to Isaan and other places to spend lots of money.

This may be news to you, but there are posters here who think that general lockdowns would be very bad for Thailand.

@Marvin Hagler how is songkran related to the prison outbreaks? do they let the prisoners out for  songkran !!

Girlfriends, boyfriends traveled to the prisons to see their loved ones in jail. Family of jail personel traveled home to visit them.  Each bringing Covid with them and infected said inmates and workers.  Not hard to understand.  Try again to understand how Songkran travel may have infected prisons....

And you are sure that in person prison visits are still happening?

There are also posters here who think that the continued virus is very bad. Agree far from enough testing to measure the true impact of the true situation

You may have a point about lockdowns but this unelected "PM" should have locked the traveling down at Songcran, he has been responsible for all these Chinese virus statistics both in Bangkok areas and all the other provinces.
