Early Visa extension at Phuket Immigration

PST

Recommended Posts

Hi, has anybody done a marriage extension say 2 weeks earlier than the due date, if so, do you 'lose' days on your next extension, or does it start from the expiry date of your original permission to stay?.

I am aware that you can apply for extension no more than 30 days before your permission to stay ends, but i've read that certain immigration offices elsewhere in Thailand do the next extension from the day of application.

Thanks

Paul

Last year I did a retirement extension 44 days before expiry. I told them that I was worried about a lock-down.

It was a Friday and they gave me my passport back the same day.

Phuket immigration will do it before 30 day due, but I think you have to have a valid reason that they will be satisfied with.

No days lost. Same date as before.

Hi, many thanks. I don't need it doing until 2 weeks/ 10 days before the due date, so i presume then no reason is needed?.
