Popular Post webfact
REUTERS FILE PHOTO Foreigners in Thailand are likely to be able to register to receive the COVID-19 vaccination by August, the government said on Monday. According to spokesperson Ratchada Thanadirek, the Ministry of Public Health is currently in the process of setting up a registration platform for expats and foreigners working in Thailand. The platform is expected to be available by August, Ms Ratchada said during the daily press briefing. It is not yet known if foreigners will be able to purchase the vaccine from private hospitals before August. Meanwhile, it was also announced that all Thais aged between 18 and 59 can register to receive the vaccine from May 31. Thais can register for the vaccine using the Mor Prom platform or via the Mor Prom account on the Line app. Registrations can also be made at government hospitals. Initially registrations for vaccines had only been open to Thais aged over 60 or those suffering from chronic health conditions. However, the opening of the registration to all Thai adults has now been brought forward from July in order to stem the spread of the virus during this third wave of infections. Ms Ratchada said most vaccines administered in Thailand will be the locally made AstraZeneca vaccine but that Sinovac, Moderena and Johnson & Johnson vaccines had all been approved for use by the Thai government. -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2021-05-18 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates 2 1 2
Popular Post ikke1959
But Moderna, Johnson and Johnson and Pfizer are not available .......surely not before the end of this year. So nothing new choose between Sinovac and Astra Zenica. Foreigners can't buy in private hospitals too because the Government doesn't allow it
Popular Post mtls2005
Honestly, they act like "registering" for something is the be all and end all. The goal right now seems to be to get everyone registered. As if registering somehow gives some immunity. Delivering a vaccine? Meh. Just automatically register EVERYONE. OMG, they've got more than enough information and records on everyone. ID cards, housee registrations, TM30, TM47..... Popular Post Thorix
Excellent, that's a good time window. Enough to collect data from their fellow citizens, observe, and take decisions from a clearer standpoint. 3 1
Popular Post khwaibah
I did not need to register. My wife was notified by the Kap Choeng/Surin yesterday to come and see them which she did. We have our government hospital directly in front of them. SI is in this compound. They all know me. In the next day or two my wife will receive date and time and location. It will be AZ. ???? 4 7 1
Popular Post Jimbone
What, 2 1/2 months to set up a registration platform? I'd rather they be honest and say "we don't want to vaccinate foreigners" instead of all this other nonsense and misinformation. 25 1 6
Popular Post grantbkk
This can't be true. Last week they said we can register in early June. This must be fake news. 4 2
Popular Post Pattaya Spotter
Other than for travel, why would foreigners and expats care if they're vaccinated? If the overarching goal is stopping virus spread in Thailand, let them get on with the Thais as quickly as possible and if the theory of "herd immunity" is correct, once 70% or so of the population is vaccinated, the virus will peeter out. Just look at the US/UK, about 60% are fully vaccinated and life is starting to return to normal. 11 3 1

Popular Post Misterwhisper
Didn't I predict it? By next week it will be adjusted to September, then October, and so forth. Not that I am in any hurry to have any of these insufficiently tested vaccines into my veins. I am not an "anti vaxxer", but this all went too fast. 16 2 1

Publishing conflicting information might be good for advertisers but is morally wrong considering this is a pandemic that has caused 3+ million deaths. 9 1 1
BerndNe
I have my vaccination date at Surin Government Hospital on June, 25th. No problem to register, but yellow housebook, pink ID-Card or Passport makes it easier. 2

Not sure what they're on about here. What is clear is that there is no clarity whatsoever being offered by the Thai government for providing vaccinations for foreigners. Some foreigners may have been able to register but this is not the case for the vast majority of us. So, for those few foreigners who have been able to register, good for you! But your ability to register appears to be a fluke when considering the overall government policy. Not sure what they're on about here. Some that have a pink card (or tax ID number) have been able to register online on the Thai language tool. This news is about the promised for online tool specifically designed for foreigners, in English, which presumably will be accessible with a passport ID. So, that's what they're on about here. csmith
WHAT? …. I registered last Sunday …. Let me find the IM I sent out on Sunday in Chiangmai ….. the following is the message I posted on Sunday….. ===============. Went to BigC today (next to HomePro) on Hang Dong Road …. and in the Food Court.(See pics) … there were other venues around CM Apparently these staff were from Nakon Ping hospital. They asked me if I wanted to sign up for vaccine …. Astra Zeneca (English) …. But I suspect manufactured in a Thai Lab. Asked if 22 July was OK at 2:00 They asked what venue would I like ….. Ram Hospital was an option so chose Ram. I have the Pink ID card but there was another Farang there using a Passport. My wife (Thai) chose an earlier date at the hospital next to Tesco on Hang Dong Road. This sign-up team will be at Big C again tomorrow (Mon) for one more day. I have to admit that I'm not a fan of taking this vaccine …. But I have until 22 July to decide…. and could chicken out …. I'll be watching the news about side effects of Thai vaccines. csmith
BTW …. They gave me a confirmation for the vaccination printout on paper … Name, Date, Time, Venue …. So seems good ….
