MJKT2014
I recently had a Zostavax jab in Bangkok about 2 months ago to reduce occurrences/severity of shingles events in future into my old age. I seem to get two or three events year. I previously (pre-jab) used Acyclovir pills, but does anyone know if taking these antiviral pills now has any affect on the live vaccine jab doing its work going forward - supposedly good for up to 10 years? Thanks Edited May 18, 2021 by MJKT2014
LosLobo
You're fine after two weeks! Varicella; Zoster Live Vaccine/Acyclovir; Famciclovir; Valacyclovir Interactions
Sheryl
The immune response to Zostavax is complete by day 28 after vaccination (the virus is probably inactivated even sooner). So yes, at 2 months should be fine.
