webfact
The Mayor of Phon district in Khon Kaen in the north east of Thailand has hit on a novel way to get people to register for vaccinations next month. He'll hand out gold necklaces to lucky winners of a draw who are aged 60 or have underlying health conditions next month, reported Daily News. There are three necklaces each weighing one saleung (that's worth about 7,000 baht at today's prices). There will be a draw when 2,000 people have got their jabs. In addition the mayor has come to an agreement with 30 businesses like restaurants and drinks places to offer 10% discounts to anyone who has been vaccinated. -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2021-05-20 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates
