charliechoc
I've been married for ages and about to get a WP to satisfy the 3 yr rule/ income and get Thai citizenship. If I get this does it mean that I 100% dont have to do 90 day reporting and yearly ext of stay based on marriage. Can I get a Thai passport and keep my oz passport? Ive read over the years how hard it is to get PR. I dont understand whats the difference/ advantages of each. Why not just bypass and go for citizenship? With PR does one not have to do 90 day reporting and visas? thanks for the education on this topic
ubonjoe
If married to a Thai getting Thai nationality is much better than permanent residence and it costs much less than PR. After getting PR approved you have pay about 93k baht for the residence certificate. You will get a Thai passport and you do not have give up your Australian citizenship. See this ongoing topic for info. https://forum.thaivisa.com/topic/121353-story-of-my-thai-citizenship-application/
