Popular Post webfact
video screenshot Foreigners in Thailand are being urged to register to receive the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as possible. "All people living on Thai soil, Thais and foreign nationals alike, are requested to register for vaccination through designated channels, should they wish to receive the Covid-19 vaccine," deputy Foreign Ministry spokesman Natapanu Nopakun said on Saturday. Registering now will help the authorities with the planning of the vaccine rollout and will help to reduce congestion and long queues on vaccination day, Mr Natapanu said. The Thai authorities have repeatedly said that expats will be included in the country’s free vaccine rollout. Some expats in Thailand have already received the vaccination during phase one of the rollout. But now the country is gearing up to rollout its mass vaccination program, which is due to start on June 7. Foreigners are urged to contact their local government hospital to register. The registration process will likely differ from province to province. However, as well as registering at hospitals, most provinces have set up additional centres where people can register for the vaccine. In Hua Hin, for example, registration centres have been set up in the BluPort and Market Village shopping malls. Foreigners there are required to complete a form in English and submit a photocopy of the ID page of their passport. Thaivisa has spoken to several expats who have registered in Hua Hin and have been given appointment dates to receive the vaccine in the first week of July. Jabs will be administered at Hua Hin Hospital. Vaccines are likely to be either Sinovac or AstraZeneca and are free of charge. -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2021-05-31 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates 8 1 3

Popular Post WineOh
I will go to my local hospital on June 7. I will also enquire with what brand of jab they intend to stick me with. If the words 'sinovac' are uttered by anyone at the hospital I shall be walking straight back out the door. My arm, my choice. Popular Post MRToMRT
"Foreigners are urged to contact their local government hospital to register." Thats a bit different from "the hospital that keeps your medical records". This is all so confusing living in Bangkok. Any hospital I ask says we don't know. Even Vimut which they told us to go to (a private hospital btw) is not registering people anymore. Hope they release more information, and its achievable for Bangkok retirees, in the coming days. Popular Post KarenBravo
What's wrong with the Sinovac? Yes, it's not quite as effective as others, but It's still better than no vaccination whatever. You can always take the Sinovac and then later take the vaccine of your choice. 30 3 3 5

Anyone who is in Thailand, can register. Which vaccine you will get will depend on your age/risk category and also what is in stock which in turn will vary over time. In June, they will at best have only enough AZ for the over 60's, everyone else will be Sinvac. AZ stocks should gradually rise after that. Not all provinces are doing registration. Mine just announced that exisiting appointments made via Mor Prom will be ignored and it will just be walk in, first come/first serve. Since I spent a full day and burned many irreplacable brain cells registering through Mor Prom, I'm not too happy about this. It will be chaotic and crowded and I'll end up behind peopekl whose appointment dates were much later than mine. But this is in my province, others may do it differently. The "guidance" (sic) from central levels has been so poor and contradictory that increasingly local officials are deciding their own approaches. 10 4

Popular Post phetphet
Tried registering two weeks ago. Was told, "Cannot. Need Thai Tax I.D." I will not waste any more time trying. Popular Post mtls2005
Just register all foreigners automatically. Why does this have to be complicated? With TM.30, TM.47, TM.7 they know who we are, our email and phone number, our gender, how old we are and where we live. But no, we've got to go queue somewhere and fill out more paperwork. Now there will be a gazillion separate smokestacks of data scattered about the country. The focus on registrations is INSANE. Focus on getting the vaccine(s). 26 3 2 3

It would suck massively to get a vaccine here, and then not be able to leave, EVER, because you got the "wrong" vaccine". Or get the first dose of a vaccine, only to find out that's all your getting. No clue why people struggle understanding the complexities involved? 11 1

I said from the beginning that with Thailand's well known love of bureaucracy, one hand not knowing what the other is doing, and wanting every piece of information in triplicate that this was bound to be a total **** up. So far I have not been anything to change my mind.
Popular Post tomazbodner
You can always get second vaccine 3-6 months later from another producer that is approved where you want to go. I mean, not second shot but second vaccine. As viruses keep mutating, regardless what you get, you'll need a modified booster shot 6-12 months later anyway. 4

Where will we get this second vaccine if we can't travel outside of Thailand? You're implying that it will magically appear here in 3 - 6 months? And that we'll be able to get it. Or will we have to re-register?

That's a hospital admission form, standard to ask relgion in case people want to be ministered to. It's not a required field. And it's not "the" vaccination registration form, which will be different for every hosptial, province, city, and town.
