For purposes of reducing quarantine time from 14 to 10 days (subsequently rescinded) Pfizer, as a WHO approved vaccine, was recognized by Thailand. For purposes of entry under the Phuket Sandbox, Pfizer, as a WHO approved vaccine, will be accepted by Thailand. Thailand accepts all WHO approved vaccines (the WHO has approved all vaccines except for Sputnik V and one vaccine from India, I believe). Pfizer has not yet been approved for administration in Thailand by the Thai FDA or Ministry of Public Health because Pfizer has not submitted the necessary documentation to become accepted. That is my understanding of the situation. Eventually, Pfizer will probably be approved by the Thai FDA (especially since they have contracted to import the vaccine) but Thailand already accepts people with two jabs of this WHO approved vaccine for entry into Thailand as fully vaccinated travelers. 3

Just looked at their website and it has no info about it.

Popular Post ThaiVisaCentre
SHA-BA system is supposedly going to be live on June 24th (we feel for the engineers ????). So they expect people should be able to obtain SHA-BA QR codes by the 25th, either way it's cutting it pretty close. As some have mentioned you can start your COE process for pre-approval, and then finalize it with the SHA-BA QR code once everything is implemented. If you are intending to come soon we advise https://asq.in.th/phuket-sandbox-hotels to make your booking request directly with the hotel as they will be able to issue a SHA-BA QR code the day it is possible. If you are trying to use a bigger OTA this may be much harder to get with a very short deadline. 1
asiam110
Quote SHA-BA system is supposedly going to be live on June 24th (we feel for the engineers ????). Engineers is a strong word to describe any thai IT person. Let's call them "poorly trained wordpress admins". No doubt this will be a security train wreck too.. We now have listed 285 SHA Plus approved hotels in our directoryhttps://asq.in.th/phuket-sandbox-hotels Hopefully we get another update regarding COE / SHABA. Today they held a training session to help all the SHA Plus hotels learn how to use the SHABA system.
bluezircon
Is there any new info for the cost of covid tests? I know there needs to be one at the airport when you land and 2 at hotel, best guess I've seen so far is between £65 - £100 each.
Popular Post ThaiVisaCentre
For anyone wondering you will need the hotel to provide you the following SHABA document to be able to obtain a COE. Due to the delay in implementing the system, and getting things approved it is advisable to delay your sandbox stay after at least July 4th. ???????????? We have also seen many SHABA certificates issued today so it seems that this will not be an issue, so the last step is for the COE website to accept submission. ???????? BritTim
Phuket has published regulations that must be followed by foreigners entering under the sandbox scheme. According to The Nation, the rules include Quote • The traveller must hold an insurance policy worth no less than US$100,000 which covers medical expenses for Covid-19 and other conditions during their entire stay in Thailand. (emphasis is mine) A comprehensive medical insurance policy is going to be far more expensive (especially for those who are older) than coverage only for Covid-19 related care.
