Websites for BKK condo's

Recommended Posts

https://www.renthub.in.th/en - useful if you need to be near to a particular BTS station

https://www.hipflat.co.th/en - probably has the widest selection of Condos

https://www.ddproperty.com/en/property-for-rent - probably the nicest site to use

https://www.thailand-property.com/ & https://www.dotproperty.co.th/en are also worth a look

Do you know if all or some of these sites are up to date?

It seems it is very common in Thailand that property websites keep units on their website even if those units are rented or sold already. The idea seems to be to attract people to contact the site and then tell them something like "sorry that was sold already but we have x y and z".

It would be great if there would be a site with accurate and up to date information...

I don't think any of them are 100% up to date but I use them more to get a feel for which condo buildings are of interest & to get an idea of prices then go into the management office there to see what units are available (The 3D tours on fazwaz.com are excellent for this).

One other tip would be to try to rent a place in the location/condo building for a few days on Agoda/AirBnB etc... to see what life would be like living there, I know places are not supposed to rent rooms out for less than 30 nights but you can normally find one in the building or a building close by that will do weekly or even daily rates.

Would you really want to buy a condo in a facility that allows daily rentals?

Personally I wouldn't want to buy a  condo in a place that allowed daily rentals & few if any of them should be, but there seems to be units avaiable in a lot of the Condos I've looked at so I you might be hard pressed to find one that doesn't have it going on in these times. I even found a unit on AirBnB in the condo I currently live in & they're quite strict on visitors etc... with threats of disconnecting water supplies / electricity for landlords who do it.

Other's may see the plus side of being able to generate some income from the place if it were more of a holiday home than your normal residence.

I'm doing exactly this at the moment & booked a 6 night stay in a Condo in Jomtien (Not one that I'm considering but is close to some houses & other condos that I am) while we look to see if we want to move down here from Bangkok, booked the unit on Agoda but there are big signs everywhere saying "This is not a Hotel, Daily/Weekly rental is not permitted".
