a tycoon stepped in with 300 million baht to allow the Thai state broadcaster to air all the matches

That's very nice of him...... Think he might have got just a few more Kudos if he had spent that 300 Million on importing the Covid Vax.........

A Royal Thai Police spokesman has warned the Thai public not to gamble on the delayed UEFA Euro 2020 football tournament that began in the early hours of this morning Thai time.

Most of them are too late for me-- anyone know of a site that lets you download them the next morning.

** Remember no direct links --just a name will do.

HD Prime...   it 370 baht for the month.

I watched the game (Italy stuffing Turkey) live last night...  I just checked, the game can also be watched on ‘catchup TV’.....

I am sure that the "tycoon" that fronted up 300 million baht will want some return on his "investment".

Yeah, this doesn't look shady at all. A private indivudual ponies up 300 MM baht for the National Broadcasting Services of Thailand, which is the broadcasting arm of the Government Public Relations Department, a division of the Thai Government.

Tycoon is Komol Jungrungreangkit

Transparency.

The corruption just oozes from everywhere.

About 10 years ago I was invited to a party by some good Thai friends...  it was an anniversary reunion party for their ‘graduation class’ from Military college...  I’ve known these guys since my early 20’s - a lot of whisky has been drunk and a lot of football played between us over the years.

At the party they’d set up a casino, tables, croupiers - very well organised... Cards on about 8 separate tables (in a suite in a hotel room).

My mate was holding his girlfriends handbag...  I saw that as a photo Op so I could stitch him up later.

I took the photo...  Wow, the room stopped !!!  - I’d just taken a photo of a group of Policemen gambling !!!

My mate laughed and they all carried on  !!....  I’ve been to a lot of parties, gatherings and reunions since.

The common theme booze and gambling, each and every time and they all have a great time. But I’ve never seen a group of people in Thailand gamble more than the police do !

I don’t know why gambling is illegal - the illicit nature makes it more attractive.

Just legalise it and educate people of the risks. Offer counselling for those who need it.

Take a mature approach, banning it just makes more people want to do it.

Komol Jungrungreangkit, owner of Aerosoft shoes. Note the rather patriotic commercials before and after the games. ???????????????????????? Heh.

Also happens to be the uncle of the recently estranged but rather popular politician Mr. Thanathorn, of the former Future Forward.

I suspect this gesture may signal his imminent return to politics. Wife and in-laws are busy chattering about it, apparently more interesting than Denmark vs. Finland. ????????????

Works from my bookmark but not when I put the web address in, weird. Used it this morning and it has all games in full dont know why it wont work for new users there is no sign up required.

Try hdmatches.net or soccercatch.com or soccerhighlights.net the first shows full games the other two just highlights. Just checked they all work from Thailand.

A warning from the Keystone cops here, is like the Alaskan fishery department telling the local tribes to refrain from salmon fishing. Or it is like the Jamaican government asking the local Rastas to quit the ganga.

Some groups, and some organizations are so far away from the realm and reasons for which they may have been originally established, that they deserve no regard, no respect, no honor and no attention paid.
