They are based in Bangkok. I used to have these very many years ago when I still lived in the UK. I had an apartment overlooking the coast and got motorised curtains that were operated by clapping your hands together. The problem was that when my wife and I were engaged in heavy sexual activity the noise of our bodies slapping together made the curtains keep opening and closing. Now that was not too bad daytime but at night with the lights apparently looking as if they were going on and off it got mistaken as signal lamps by the mariners. This was about 8 years ago. so...... The bedroom one was a waste of money, never used it. The living room one on the sun facing window had the motor fail two times due to sun exposure they said. The others had no problem so i think they were right. When the motor failed they couldn't get the same model for replacement so I had to change out both. My advice after my experience, don't do it. recom273 Posted June 19, 2021 Share Posted June 19, 2021 Motorized curtains are expensive and prone to failure because of the weight of the fabric - you will need some monster motors for blackout curtains like the poster says who paid 60K for some. You might want to consider blinds as a cheaper option. But following this thread, as I would like to have automatic curtains in the bedrooms.
