Education officials in Bangkok under the auspices of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration said that nearly 100% of teachers, school and ancillary staff had been vaccinated against Covid-19.

The final ones would be accomplished today.

School opening in Bangkok has been put back a further two weeks until the end of the month or July 1st. Online learning is continuing until then.

In two weeks the situation will be reassessed, reported Channel 7.

In Chiang Mai 4,000 teachers in Mae Rim and Muang district had been vaccinated with a further 1,000 in Hang Dong and Fang districts (500 each).

These are schools under the BMA, no? What about the hundreds of other schools then? And only one dose is next to useless.

The government does not care about anybody upcountry, and it just tries to fool people into a sense of false security when they say 100 % have been vaccinated. They may well have been but as we all know the value of one dose, whilst better than nothing, is really not much better than nothing but as always with this administration it is BS attempting to baffle brains.

As if vaccinating just the staff is enough.  As long as the students aren't vaccinated it matters very little if the staff are.  Kids can get the virus outside of the school, pass it to their friends, and they can take it home to their families.

Is there anywhere in the world that has started vaccinating kids, or is even considering vaccinating kids? Vaccinating teachers protects the teachers!

Vaccine manufacturers are testing for use of vaccines on young people.  It seems an inevitability.

So why the discussion about needing to vaccinate all staff in order to be able to open the schools?  Simply to protect the teachers?   Opening schools without the teachers being vaccinated would men the teachers are in danger, so keep the schools closed until the teachers are safe?

It seems many have the attitude of "we need all the staff to be vaccinated so it's safe for kids to return to schools".  You haven't noticed that?

How long should we wait for a kids' vaccine? Schools need to open for kids' education and teachers' livelihoods.

Students have proven to be infected... or do you think we should exclude them from health care?
