Popular Post webfact
website screenshot For many expats in Thailand, registering online for a COVID-19 vaccine is an impossible task, with what is now an ongoing debacle taking another depressing twist on Monday. The Ministry of Public Health’s online registration page, which just three days earlier had informed foreigners in Thailand they would be able to register for a vaccine from June 14 had been updated to say that vaccine registrations are not currently available. Last week, Thailand Intervac website was updated to include the URL: https://thailandintervac.com/expatriates The page said that vaccine registrations would be available from June 14. However, as of Monday (June 14) the page informs users that registrations are not currently available. “Please be advised that the reservation system for the vaccination appointment is being updated”, the page reads. “You cannot make a reservation for a certain amount of time. We have to apologize for all the inconvenience”. Currently, the Thailand Intervac website is only accepting registrations for the over 60s and sufferers of one of seven underlying health conditions. website screenshot While some people have been able to register via the website, lots of other people haven’t, with Thaivisa inundated with people reporting problems when trying to register. There were also multiple reports from people who had been able to register but were unable to select an appointment date, with the website seeming to indicate that no vaccine appointments were available for several weeks. Last week the CCSA said that local health authorities, including those in Hua Hin and Chonburi would launch their own registration platforms - available in English - for expats to register for the vaccine. However, at the time of posting no information about such registration platforms has been released. In fact, the only place for foreigners in Hua Hin to register for a free vaccination is at Hua Hin Hospital, with two registration desks that had been set up in the local shopping malls having now been removed. The Mor Prom Prachuap online registration platform is only available in Thai language with those needing to submit a Thai ID number to register. But while expats in many areas of Thailand are experiencing problems trying to register for a vaccine, in Chiang Mai the authorities there appear to have put a successful system in place to facilitate vaccination registrations for foreigners. At the last count, more than 5,000 foreigners in Chiang Mai had been able to register for the vaccine. -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2021-06-14 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates 1 1 1

Popular Post grantbkk
I registered sometime ago and checked back today. it said my registration was incomplete. This <deleted> is all messed up. The only way it takes info is if you make up something site really likes. Since I don't want AZ or anything from China it probably is no big deal. I read the info wd submit it now public online. What an embarrassment to the country.

Popular Post TallGuyJohninBKK
Quite an impressive rollout for June 14! Why don't they just post a message on their website that says -- "we're in this so far over our heads, we have no clue what we're doing. Just wanted to let you know!" Just as well if all our date is at risk, scrap it completely and just tell people to register at hospitals in person or by phone, they seem to know what they are doing now and are organized.

For what it is worth, I have emailed the British Embassy regarding this fiasco. Perhaps if a few more do the same, they might appreciate the problem. 9

Popular Post Enigmatist
When they said again that farangs could register on 14 June on the thailandvaccine.com\expatriates link, I got a glimmer of renewed hope (God knows why after repeated failures to register for a vaccine previously). I was told to register between the hours of 12:00 - 15:00, not sure where I read this, but come 12:15, I tried the link. BEHOLD!! I finally got the registration finished. FYI, if you have previously tried to complete a registration and it failed, DO NOT try again with the same email address, Use the Login option and you should be able to restart the registration after putting in your email and passwrod from previous attempts. Hopefully you can remember your previous password or you are screwed unless you have another email address. There is no "Send an SMS to phone or email link to confirm" it is you option. OK, so I completed the registration, for the obese category, I didn't have any of other listed ailments and I am 6'4" and well over the 100kgs ???? I hit NEXT and got a message that I did not qualify because I was not over 60 years old. WTH, when are they going to recognise that foreigners can retire in Thailand at 50!.... I've been here 6 years already, and pretty cannot go anywhere inside or outside the country until I get a (deleted) vaccine! At least the functionality worked as possibly intended, finally, but I am still without a vaccine and no knowledge of when others in the same sub-60-year category will every be able to get one. I'll continue with my only recourse, keep waiting for further news and trying again.

Would not hurt to expose this country yet again for the sham that it is and the way we get treated as expats!!! I have always enjoyed living in this country but this fiasco really is unforgiveable by any stretch of the imagination. The whole programme for vaccinations has been a complete disaster with not one person in government accepting responsibility. All they do is crow on about how everything is under control when in fact it is all falling to pieces around them. And the worst bit is, they do not care!!! 6

All I will add to this discussion is if more people did in fact contact their embassies about this data breach instead of complaining on here, which does nothing, then somebody just might take notice. You never know! The more the merrier. 1
