Popular Post EVENKEEL
I've always been a bottle guy, you know I pride myself on being a part of the upper echelon. But, as I've started taking cans to the beach I've become a fan of cans. Seems like that first few draws from an icy can of Heinekin is delightful. Can't really get that same flow from a bottle. What's your thought? 3

Fat is a type of crazy
I have noticed a trend towards cans in premium beers in Australia. In Australia many cans are still 375 ml or sometimes bigger. I like bottles but like cans too. Easier to carry a box to the car.
Popular Post KannikaP
Cans cool down quicker in the fridge as well, easier to dispose of can which can be crushed and cannot break like bottles. The beer inside is the same, don't need bottle opener and is easier to drink from a can.
Popular Post tonray
Why not both ? Cans are easier on the deltoids when hauling an ice chest full of "Soft" drinks but bottles have that unmistakable cleaner feel and taste.
Popular Post bluebluewater
I'm still a fan of bottle UNLESS I'm carrying them! Screw that - cans are just fine. Isn't there a joke that goes "that's what wife's are for?". 2

Tired of disposing empty bottles with the bemusement of the neighbors .

You can buy a 'can crusher' on Lazada which makes them down to almost nothing. 1

Popular Post Dmaxdan
I tend to buy bottles simply because they are better value. For example, in my local shop a large can of Chang (490ml) is 50 baht where as a large bottle of Chang (620ml) is 55 baht. It's a bit of a no brainer really.

I don't drink from the bottle; too macho for me. However I have occasionally drank from a can and agree that there is a metallic 'tinge' to it. So cans are a no no. I've recently acquired one of these which has been quite useful recently under prohibition. Firstly it keeps the drink colder for longer; Ive had ice not melt for 1 hour in it and as a side effect you don't get half a litre of condensation running down the outside saturating your table. I'll keep using it once we ( if ever) return to normality as I'm suspicious of the cleanliness of some bars. EVENKEEL
So, aside from beer snobs (you know who you are) I suppose most like bottles, some because of taste. Years back the can gave off a taste but I haven't got that metal taste from Heinekin cans which is all I drink unless it's free. I'm still of the opinion that you can draw a longer, more satisfying first couple of pulls off a can. Aaahhhh. Walking in the surf, drinking an ice cold beer, man it's heaven.
