snoop1130
BANGKOK (NNT) - The Minister of Public Health has inspected the Central Vaccination Center at Bang Sue Grand Station in Bangkok, which opened today for rescheduled appointments due to recent vaccine shortages at some Bangkok hospitals. The Ministry of Public Health today received 600,000 more doses of AstraZeneca jabs, with 2.6 million more expected by Sunday. People in Bangkok whose vaccination appointments at hospitals were cancelled on Monday, now have the option of getting their shots at Bang Sue Grand Station instead, from today. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Health Anutin Charnvirakul, today inspected the vaccination center at Bang Sue Grand Terminal, saying there are no conflicts between the Ministry of Public Health and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, though there have admittedly been some communication problems. Many hospitals in Bangkok earlier announced they had run out of their vaccine supply, postponing appointments from Monday indefinitely, until supplies become available again. The Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha has urged the Ministry of Public Health to offer the elderly living in Bangkok whose appointments were postponed, the option of getting their jabs at Bang Sue Grand Station instead. Arrangements in other provinces will depend on the decision of provincial governors. The Minister of Public Health said today that the ministry had just received 600,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine from AstraZeneca, which have already been distributed to vaccination centers across the country as planned by the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA). 1 million more doses from AstraZeneca are expected to be delivered on Friday, followed by 1.6 million more on Sunday. Mr Anutin also insists that Buriram province, which is the political stronghold of his Bhumjaithai party, did not receive a larger supply of the vaccine than other provinces. Chulabhorn Royal Academy (CRA) today continues to offer COVID-19 jabs to people with appointments as planned. All appointments today were for second Sinovac jabs for those who got their first dose here. The academy has confirmed their Sinovac supply for second doses is sufficient, without the need to delay any appointments. The CRA is now in the process of importing Sinopharm’s COVID-19 vaccine from China, with the first delivery expected on 21st June, and first jabs to be offered on 25th June. Several organizations and localities have submitted requests to purchase Sinopharm doses for their employees or residents, on condition a portion of the allocated amount is donated to charity. The academy is expected to announce who will get the donated doses later. -- © Copyright NNT 2021-06-16 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates
Caldera
Does he need to go "inspect" every week now? I could swear he and the Czar showed up just about a week ago for the grand opening. 1
internationalism
I have deep impression that all articles about vax program are contradictory, giving different figures and details, as to confuse readers on purpose. to the point I have stopped following them and care about vax. Certainly it's a long way for the great majority of foreigners here. There are lucky few, possibly only in tens/several hundreds in the whole country (plus phuket and samui, as an exception). I can confirm that. We're still waiting. Why not come and "inspect" places where nothing is happening? 1

natway09
Don't worry about the staff doing the admin & the jabs. Go & inspect the manufacturer Siam,BioScience & crack the whip out there. While there check on if they are exporting to Malaysia & denying the Thais their local supplier
