Speaker replacement in car

Recommended Posts

Just installed new front speakers, in a Nissan Micra K12 2005, thinking it would improve quality.
Pioneer G-Series TS-G1720F, 1,500bt

The sound is very bad, tinny and no bass. Old speakers were much better.

Any advice about this?

They were off Ebay but from a very big company with good reviews, so I assume they are not cheap copies, but perhaps they are,  or just not good quality enough.

Thinking of putting them in the back , and the old speakers in the front, but its a lot of work.

Thanks

They are both 4 I think, I'm assuming Ω is the correct sign.

Perhaps they aren't as good as the original speakers, which are Blaupunkt. I am tempted to put the original ones back, even when reversing the wires, sound did not improve.
Thanks

Where did you get them? Could be phony.

If the old ones sounded better switch them back. Contrary to popular belief, OEM stuff is usually pretty good and most always robust.

Problem in LOS is so much copy stuff around - China not far away.

I have found if you go to a shop with a solid reputation for quality work there is a very small chance of getting junk.

Amnuay Motor Air 2 is my go to place in CNX

I'm in Europe

Yes, you are right, the OEM were actually better than the Panasonic speakers

I bought them from a big Ebay supplier so they're probably original but you never know, next time will buy from a store to be sure.

The guy at the installation shop said that changing speakers doesn't bring that much benefit, only about 20%, not as much as people hope.

thanks
