snoop1130
BANGKOK (NNT) - Private firms and local administrative organization that wish to purchase doses of Sinopharm’s COVID-19 vaccine, have until 4 p.m. today to submit their request to Chulabhorn Royal Academy, which has already received applications from some 14,000 organizations. Chulabhorn Royal Academy (CRA) announced on its Facebook page today that this is the final day organizations can make a new applications or submit pending supporting documents to purchase Sinopharm’s COVID-19 jabs. The CRA is currently the sole importer of the China-made Sinopharm doses in Thailand, aiming to provide this inactivated COVID-19 vaccine to private firms and local administrative organizations as an alternative choice, in addition to Sinovac and AstraZeneca being used in the government’s national mass inoculation campaign. With 1,000,000 doses due to arrive later this month, the CRA will require organizations that have received the doses in this phase to make full payment for their allocated amount to the CRA, and make a donation worth 10% of the paid amount within three days of receiving the CRA’s confirmation. So far, the CRA has already received purchase applications from 14,634 organizations, covering 4,545,272 people. Organizations that have already submitted their applications are not allowed to amend the quantity of doses they have ordered under any circumstances. The CRA’s Sinopharm deal has received good feedback from local administrations, which are committed to securing their own vaccine supply in addition to the doses provided by the Ministry of Public Health. Yala City Municipality has already sent a request to purchase Sinopharm vaccine to the CRA. The municipality today started accepting registrations from local residents of 18 years or older wishing to receive Sinopharm jabs. With 25,000 doses on order, the municipality is expected eventually to vaccinate 12,500 people with Sinopharm jabs, each requiring two doses. 15 venues in Yala opened today to accept vaccination registrations for the municipality’s own campaign, including the municipality office, Yala Hospital, and Thetsaban Schools 1-6. Many people today came to the municipality office from 6 a.m., ahead of the 8:30 a.m. registration opening. Some residents said they currently have no other vaccination appointment made, while some are trying to secure a vaccination appointment earlier than their postponed one in the central government’s inoculation program. -- © Copyright NNT 2021-06-18 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates

So 1 MM doses for 500K people -2 doses at 3 - 4 weeks. Those other 4 MM people are left waiting I guess.
