Brian K
Anyone with experience changing their visas from Non-B to extension based on retirement to Covid 19 and back to Non-B again? Any actual regulations that say if this is possible or not? Thanks
ubonjoe
There is nothing that says you cannot do it. The problem is getting a work permit with a extension of stay based upon retirement shown in your passport. Most work permit office will not accept the application for it. That sounds more like a no to me then because the purpose of getting non-B is so that one can work hence need for a WP.

If you employer has contacts at the work permit office they may be able to get the work permit. As far as I know there is no written rule that you cannot get one. You still have your original non-b visa entry since a extension application for retirement does not change that. If you had a non-o visa it could be more of a problem.
