Popular Post webfact
Picture: INN INN reported on the latest seizures and arrests in the ongoing fight against drugs being sent through the postal service. They were briefed by the head of the Narcotics Control Board Wanchai Chaimongkhol who was speaking on behalf of the activities of the AITF - the Airport Interdiction Task Force. In the first of two cases 479 grams of heroin was found hidden in a single picture frame that was being handled by a private delivery firm in the Bang Plee area of Samut Prakan. The package started its journey in Surat Thani in the south and was destined for Australia. The name of the sender in Surat and the destination in Australia is under investigation by the relevant authorities. In the second case the AITF intercepted 390 grams of cocaine in packages of mascara that had been sent from Costa Rica and were bound for Pathum Thani, north of the Thai capital Bangkok. This case resulted in the 2 pm arrest of a Thai woman called Nutchanat, 27, in Klong 3 who was receiving the drugs. At 7pm a Nigerian man called Mr Ejimadu, aged 41, was arrested at a mall in the Bang Na area of Bangkok. A search at a condominium in the Sri Nakharin Road area yielded another 79 grams of cocaine in a bedroom and kitchen. Wanchai said that "ice" (crystal meth) and heroin was going out of Thailand to third countries while cocaine was coming in. He said that most cocaine users were foreigners and foreign tourists and those behind the trade were West Africans almost exclusively Nigerians. -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2021-06-23 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates 2

Surely.........if the authorities could persuade people to use ice and heroin, instead of cocaine all this smuggling could stop.
