gerrytraveller
Question.. Covid insuranceOA visa. Minimum required.. Cost. Insurance company??
ubonjoe
If it is a valid OA visa the covid insurance would have to valid for one year from the day you enter the country. If after it expired and you have a re-entry permit for the entry you got before it expired it would need to be valid to the day your re-entry permit expires. You can get the insurance here online. https://www.tipinsure.com/CovidRegional/product_detail The cost depends upon your nationality and the length of stay you need it for. Do you have the required 40/400k baht medical insurance required.

It was only approved in principle by the cabinet. It may be months before before it is required.
JTXR
Given what US$100K cover is likely to cost at my age (compared to the baht 400K/40K currently required), if this proposal is made into law, there's no way I will stay. Simply a ramp-up of govt/insurance industry sticking it to retirees in Thailand.
gerrytraveller
Ok. Further to my 3m.bht question.. 6 months i took up a very cheap covid policy..not visa related... With Roojai. Now that has become a problem.. they cannot extend to cover my upcoming 12 month extension.. they can not issue a new policy because already have one on place.. cannot cancel and start again.. SHISE!!! Is there another low priced policy available??

gerrytraveller
Sorry Tonray. Not everyone is in the same boat. Some of us are older then you. At 76 its not practical or nearly impossible to buy Health insurance. The only policy available to us does not cover covid!!
