Mid Posted June 5, 2007 Share Posted June 5, 2007 One soldier, student injured in Narathiwat bomb attack June 5, 2007 : Last updated 12:08 pm (Thai local time) Narathiwat - A soldier and a student were injured when Muslim insurgents detonated a bomb to ambush a patrol unit of soldiers in this southern border province Tuesday morning.About 30 soldiers were patrolling a road in Tambon Borngo of Rangae district when the insurgents detonated a bomb buried on the roadside. A student, who happened to pass the area, was injured along with a solider. They were rushed to Ranage district hospital. Two soldiers, aged 22 and 25, were wounded by the blast. Police said the five-kilogramme bomb was buried under an electrical pole and was detonated when six soldiers on three motorcycles were passing the spot.
